About Wayne Bass
Wayne Bass was born in Chicago, Illinois, but grew up in a town of 14,000 people in Wisconsin. There, he spent 7 years in the Scouting movement and achieved all of the major benchmarks — a precursor to his joining the United States Marine Corps and serving a tour of duty in Vietnam (1968, Phu Bai, An Hoa).

Mr. Bass graduated from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin with a B.A. in Economics. His first 15 years out of college were spent in the hotel industry, first in operations and then in sales/marketing with Marriott Hotels in New Orleans, Atlas Hotels in San Diego, and Hilton Hotels in Anaheim.
Wayne entered the home improvement field in the late 80’s and never looked back.
Wayne has been a resident of Southern California since 1976 and he’s worked out of the same location in Mission Viejo ever since 1988. His community involvement includes:
- Board of Directors — American Cancer Society
- Board of Directors — Variety Clubs International
- Fund raising for various educational and non profit organizations
A Long-Time resident of Mission Viejo
Wayne and his wife of 36 years, Mary, reside in Mission Viejo. Both their son, Justin, and their daughter, Jennifer, attended Capistrano Valley High School and Saddleback College before graduating from UCLA. Jennifer received her masters from Pepperdine and is finishing her third year of teaching at Laguna Beach High School. Justin completed a masters in journalism at Columbia and currently markets and installs Solar for electricity in Orange County.
When Wayne’s not busy improving Orange County one house at a time, he enjoys writing, biking, kayaking, playing tennis and listening to local jazz artists.
